The Department of Healthcare and Rehabilitation (DHR) is an important technical department under the Ministry of Health. It is in charge of managing and improving the quality of healthcare services in both public and private sectors, as well as rehabilitation programs. DHR also creates and applies national guidelines and standards for treatment and service delivery. The department works to make sure everyone in Lao PDR has fair access to quality health services, and it helps raise the standard of care and promote better health for all.
Divisions
To effectively implement its mandate, DHR is organized into five specialized divisions:
- Public Healthcare Management Division
- Non-Communicable Diseases Management Division
- Private Healthcare Management Division
- Healthcare Quality Management and Nursing-Midwife Division
- Administration Division
